It’s Sunday morning and I’m here in Georgia enjoying a beautiful, fresh smelling, start to the day. It’s quiet, everyone is still asleep, a fresh cup of Blue Mountain coffee in my hands, and as always on a Sunday morning reflective thoughts in my head. This morning brought this prayer to mind,
God grant me the serenity
To accept the things I cannot change;
Courage to change the things I can;
And wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
As it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
If I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
And supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
I hope you remember this poem Lincoln, and take the simple lessons from it and apply them to your life. The one that took me awhile to learn was,
Enjoying one moment at a time
Very simply, I got so wrapped up in the future that I was missing out on the enjoyment of what was happening at that very moment. I hope you learn that lesson early, for it will bless the rest of your life.
I love you Lincoln, Puppa.
